Sunday Session: Pat Benetar's Invincible True Love

On Sundays, I join Thea at Do I Really Wanna Blog? in popping some music on the blog. The rules are: there are no rules!
Old or new or in between. Related or not.
But always songs you love!
Here are my picks for this week.
You can play along by linking up with Thea.
Happy Sunday!

Last week on Sunday Session, Blundermum shared her tale of youth, when she tied rags to her waist and walked around her back yard, on her own, pretending to be Pat Benatar. I can relate to this story, because I adored Pat Benetar's music, and I still do. I've been known to sing this next song, Invincible, at full excruciating volume, while listening to my Walkman, back in the days before iPods and [unsuccessful attempts at] decorum.

And this one is lesser known, but is an absolute favourite of mine. I still cannot resist snapping my fingers and swaying to the grooviness of this tune. I know you'll enjoy True Love, because it's impossible not to.

So are you a fan of Pat Benetar? What's your favourite song?

  1. Oh goody! I'm glad you liked this week's picks. Off to go check out your post now. :)

  2. Great songs I loved her songs growing up you certainly gave me some great memories today.

(((( Hugs )))) XXXX Kisses XXXX

  3. Oh, me too! I contemplated including that one, but wanted to include ones that were not mainstream Pat Benetar. Unfortunately for the people around me that's also one that I like to sing at top volume.

  4. My favourite was We Belong...love pat benatar!

  5. I've only ever heard Pat Benetar's We Belong. And love that - obviously she's had more songs out there.

  6. Ah the good old days. Really like True Love.

  7. Oh, I'd forgotten all about Invincible! Loved that song...still do...yep, I was singing along!

And hadn't heard True Love...love it too.

    Fabulous Sunday Session!!
